Description
The Successful Women Entrepreneurship Engagement Talent (SWEET) Programme is a specialised initiative under the Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) Project, designed to empower Bumiputera women to venture into entrepreneurship, particularly through franchise, pre-franchise, or licensing business models.
Participants will be provided with access to business matching opportunities, financing assistance, structured training, as well as six (6) months of post-commencement mentoring and business monitoring to support sustainable business operations.
Eligibility Criteria
Franchisee / Pre-Franchisee / Licensee
- The majority shareholder(s) must be women aged 21 to 60 years, holding a minimum of 60% equity in the company.;
- The entrepreneur must be the owner and operator of the business.;
- The business must be 100% Bumiputera-owned;
- Financing applications submitted via a Private Limited Company (Sdn. Bhd.) are eligible for financing up to RM500,000
- Financing applications by Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, or Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP) are limited to RM250,000;
- A Letter of Offer from the franchisor, pre-franchisor, or licensor must be obtained prior to application;
- The business must be Shariah-compliant; and
- The entrepreneur must have a good credit record, subject to PERNAS’ credit assessment criteria.
- The entrepreneur must have at least six (6) months of business experience, whether online or offline.

SWEET Programme Process
1. Attend Outreach BYOB Program
2. Receive a Letter of Offer from the franchisor, pre-franchisor, or licensor
3. Submit a financing application
4. Complete the 2-day program training course
5. Start your business
6. Mentoring & business monitoring for 6 months
7. Six months of monitoring and guidance
